Fast food Italian-Style

At the crossroads of Zona Tortona, during the Milan furniture show, the Street Food Mobile offered hurried visitors a quick and stylish place to stop for a drink and a sandwich.

Built from a three-wheeled Ape scooter by Vespa (the symbol of small deliveries that is celebrating its 60th year), the Street Food Mobile is the brainchild of architect Andrea Carletti.

He designed a cabin that folds out and mounts onto telescopic poles, with room for a small kitchen and space to serve Chef Luca Luxardo's food to passers-by.

Attention was given to every detail, right down to the particularly ingenious food packaging, the work of designer Chiara Moreschi, that combines a paper bag with a small glass of wine and can be carried in one hand.

Still in the prototype stage, the Street Food Mobile took advantage of the high volume of traffic in Milan this particular week to promote itself and entice companies who may find it useful for their own needs.
